The United States of America is the third largest Spanish speaking nation after Spain and Latin America. This is not a difficult language to learn either. There are many ways in which you can learn how to speak Spanish. Most of the people opt for the classroom training which is nothing but waste of money. In the class you will have a teacher who teaches you Spanish in English! When this happens, you will not know the practical use of the language. In order for you to learn and retain the language, you will have to speak to Hispanics (people of Spanish origin). If possible, it is recommended that you stay in a place where Spanish is predominantly spoken with very little interference from English. This will reinforce your learning of the language. In this way, you will be able to learn Spanish faster than what you would if you sit in the class. The other disadvantage of classroom training is that, the number of words, phrases and sentences of Spanish that you learn will be limited. Hence, to improve your vocabulary and broaden the horizon of learning you should speak in Spanish. This will also help you recollect and retain words and sentences in a jiffy. The other way to learn Spanish easily is by comparing the words to the words in your language, for example, words in English. Spanish and English can be considered cousins since they take birth from the same language, Latin. Hence, there are many similarities between words in English and those in Spanish. What you will need to do is observe and make a list of these words and try to use them so that you can retain it faster. Many words in English that end with "ic" end with "ico" or "ica" in Spanish depending on the gender of the object! Yes, you heard it right! All objects in Spanish fall under a particular gender. There are a lot of words in English that end with "tion"; the same words in Spanish end with "cion". Now, I am sure you never thought Spanish could be so easy, right!? On similar terms, the words that end with "ate" in English end with "ar" in Spanish. Make a list of all these words and you would have mastered quite a bit of the Spanish vocabulary. Couple this with speaking with a Spanish speaker and you are well on your way to mastering the language. This is one of the fun ways of how to learn Spanish.
